Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV)

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Prayer

Our Lord God Almighty, we humbly bow before You as Your people redeemed by the blood of Christ Jesus. We are blessed by Your love and favor not because we deserve anything but because You are merciful, gracious and kind. We are truly thankful for the constant lovingkindness You have bestowed upon us. You alone deserve the highest praise and honor that we, Your people, could give. It will never be enough. Yet, may our praises bring You joy today. We love You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-20 SAVED BY GRACE 藉恩得救

John 1:17; Romans 5:8, 20; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; 2:11-12 (NKJV)

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. How blessed I am to be saved by You and to be called Your child. May I never forget the greatness of Your love for me thru the gift of salvation in Christ. Let me live this new life in Christ for You and Your glory. Let me not forget nor despise this gift of salvation by living a life as if You do not exist nor have any place in my life. Forgive me. You deserve all of me. Here, I am, Lord, I want to love You well. Help me, O God.

  2. O Lord Jesus, thank You for Your great sacrifice to make my salvation possible. You have died in my place for the death that I was condemned for because of my sins. I now have eternal life because of Your death on the cross that reconciled me to the Heavenly Father. He painfully gave You up to death in order to give us life. Thank You so much, O triune God, for the gift of salvation and eternal life and blessings I am enjoying in Christ.

  3. Lord, I have one short earthly life to live for You. I should not waste away my life that has been saved from death on sinful or meaningless pursuits. Help me live a life that's worthy of my Savior. Let me live in gratitude and offer my life to You. Let me live a pleasing life unto You according to Your Word. Let me live for Your glory each day. In Jesus' name. Amen.
