Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Psalm 139:23-24 (NKJV)

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Prayer

Sovereign God, we lift You on high as the only One who deserves all honor and glory. We worship and adore You. You alone know all things. Your eyes run to and fro throughout all the earth showing Yourself to be strong to those whose heart is perfect towards You. We bow and humble ourselves before You. Sanctify Your Church and fulfill Your holy will in our lives through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-51 THE GODLY MAN 聖潔的人

Psalm 1:1-6; 15:1-5 (NKJV)

Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners,

Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree

Planted by the rivers of water,

That brings forth its fruit in its season,

Whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatever he does shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so,

But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,

But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle?

Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

He who walks uprightly,

And works righteousness,

And speaks the truth in his heart;

He who does not backbite with his tongue,

Nor does evil to his neighbor,

Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;

...

He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

He who does these things shall never be moved.

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Father, forgive me for I have sinned against You. Every sin I commit is an affront against You. Let me not try to justify or make light of any sins in my heart. Please give me the courage to confess and own up to my sins. Cleanse me and make me holy and pure unto You once again.

  2. O God, Your eyes are too pure and holy to look at sin and ignore it. Your righteous wrath deals with every sin. All people have sinned and are guilty before You. I am a sinner and I am guilty. Thank You for Your mercy and grace in the Lord Jesus. My sins have been paid for in Christ, my Savior.

  3. Lord, I am a forgiven sinner who continues to receive Your mercy and grace. Teach me to love sinners while continuing to hate sin. Lord, please help me! I can't love and forgive a sinner. I find myself hating and wanting to punish a sinner without mercy. How sinful and merciless is my heart. Save me, O Lord. Help me to love and desire that every sinner be restored to You just like me.
