Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NKJV)

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come to declare Your praise and offer our thanksgiving with grateful hearts. Thank You for loving us with an everlasting love. You are our true source of joy, peace and comfort. Our righteousness and integrity comes from You as well. Thank You for Your loving discipline that keeps us safe from evil and corruption. We give you thanks for You are good. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise:

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Worship Through Prayer

1. Lord, I pray for Your special grace for all the Christian parents. Give them wisdom and strength to be able to take good care of every child You've entrusted to them. Keep them faithful in learning and obeying Your Word that they may be able to teach their children to love and obey You. 

2. O Savior, I ask for mercy for those families that are struggling because of conflicts and strife. Protect them from the evil one and from their own sinfulness. Let Your peace rule in the heart and mind of those that are angry and hurting. Help them to stop all forms of violence. Save these families from being broken beyond restoration.

3. Lord, raise a generation of faithful believers who would disciple their children in truth and godliness. May these children grow to be faithful lovers of God who in turn will teach their children to walk in Your ways. Let every generation that will come after be cared for and protected through the faithful passing of the gospel and Christian heritage.
