Call to Worship
Have someone read aloud:
Lamentations 3:24-26 (NKJV)
"The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
Prayer
Lord God Almighty, whom do we have in heaven and on earth besides You? You are the source of all good things in life, even the bad things that befall us are all redeemed for good. How blessed we are to be Your children. You are our hope and our song. We will sing Your praises in this life. We will honor and worship You. May the offerings of praise we bring today be pleasing to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

R-29 TRUST IN THE LORD 信靠真神
Psalm 37:1-11 (NKJV)
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Song of Response
Worship Through Prayer
Lord, teach me the value of waiting on You. My heart is often anxious and impatient when I need to wait. I'd rather take control of life and fix situations than wait. It's hard to bear with the unknown. Forgive me for relying on myself and on other people. I have not allowed You to move freely in my life in order to reveal Yourself. You are God, I and other people are not. May I trust and be willing to let You be God in my life.
Lord, I had unknowingly missed a lot of good opportunities to see Your loving presence and mighty power move in my life because I had refused to wait on You. My spiritual eyes have not seen enough of You. They have become dull and short-sighted because I see life with little faith and hope in You, my God. You have become irrelevant to me. Lord, I need You. Forgive me for not waiting on You.
Lord, when life is uncertain and I'm just stuck waiting for what seems like forever, help me to give thanks. May I not take for granted the daily gift of life and blessing that I receive while waiting. Let me honor You by trusting and praising You until the days of waiting end. When the day comes, may I continue to give You thanks for your clear answer and guidance. Help me to honor you while I wait, and then, to give You thanks when it's over.
