Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Psalm 103:8-10 (NKJV)

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.

Prayer

Merciful God, we come before You with humble and grateful hearts to give You thanks. How can we stand before You in our unrighteousness? Praise be to Jesus our Savior who has covered us with His own blood that we may come before You in His eternal holiness and righteousness. To You alone be all glory and honor as You fulfill Your will in our redeemed lives each day. Amen.

R-60 THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY 凱旋入城

Luke 19:29-40, 47a (NKJV)

And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”

So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”

And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.

And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.

Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying:

“ 'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!'

Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”

But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

And He was teaching daily in the temple.

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Father, thank You for Your compassion. My hope comes from You alone. Thank You for not giving up on me. Thank You for Your loving forgiveness and restoration. Faithful and true are You in making me pure and holy. Thank You for loving me and continually working to make me more like You.

  2. Lord, I know You see all things. Nothing can be hidden from You. Yet, I still deceive myself to believe that I can hide my sins. Forgive me for mocking you when I do that. Thank you for Your loving patience towards a sinner like me. Please do not ever leave me nor forsake me in my state of sin and foolishness. Save me, O Lord. Bring me back to You.

  3. Father, I am ashamed of myself. You do not stop loving me even when all I deserve is Your punishment. Sometimes, I act shamelessly thinking I deserve Your grace. Forgive me, Lord, for abusing Your lovingkindness. Please do not leave me in my sinful state. Kindly do all that is needed to make me right and pleasing in Your eyes once again.
