2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV)

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Prayer

God Almighty, reign forever. Your sovereign presence remains unchanged and unhindered. Only Your good plan and purpose will prevail on earth as in heaven. Our blessed peace and assurance come from knowing that Your Word will be fulfilled completely. Hallelujah! All praises and glory to You. Amen.

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

 

So He said to them, “When you pray, say:

 

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”


For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Worship through Prayer

  1. Remind me that my present troubles are only light and momentary. All these will soon come to pass. Help me hold on to Your good promises for me both in this life and the eternal one to come. 

  2. Give me the patience to endure whatever You are doing in my life right now. I cannot see the good in it but I want to continue on by faith for You are my God. Let Your good purpose in my life be fulfilled for Your glory.

  3. May the trials and sufferings that people are going through lead them to You. May they see their need for the Savior and call upon Your Name. May I be an instrument to tell others of Your unfailing love and mercy. May they personally experience Your love and power and give You thanks unto salvation.
