Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (NKJV)

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Prayer

Victorious, O Lord, You are victorious above all. Praise be to Your Name from the rising of the sun to its setting. No enemy can win against you. Exalted on high, You alone are sovereign and all-powerful. Glory be to You both now and forevermore. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-6 GOD’S GRACIOUS LOVE 上帝恩愛

Psalm 103:1-13, 17 (NKJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The LORD executes righteousness

And justice for all who are oppressed.

He made known His ways to Moses,

His acts to the children of Israel.

The LORD is merciful and gracious,

Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

He will not always strive with us,

Nor will He keep His anger forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins,

Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

For as the heavens are high above the earth,

So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

As far as the east is from the west,

So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father pities his children,

So the LORD pities those who fear Him.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting

On those who fear Him,

And His righteousness to children’s children.

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Father, I am afraid to fail. I feel that I am never good enough to win. This feeling often comes when I look at myself. Please help me shift my gaze away from me to You, who is the true Victor in life and even death. I will trust in You and move forward by faith onto Your victory in and through my life.

  2. Father, I've been striving so hard on my own to win the battle of life. Yet, the battle is Yours. What You have called me to do is to walk in Your victory not by myself but in the unity of the Spirit with fellow Christian brothers and sisters. Help me not to forsake the fellowship of the believers, but to encourage and help one another to remain faithful till we see You in glory.

  3. Lord, fear has a way of blocking my spiritual vision from seeing You. When I'm blinded by fear, help me to remember You, Your faithfulness and victories in my life. Renew my strength as You fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit to fight the battles of this holy life. Please be magnified in my life always. Thank You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
