Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Psalm 31:14-16 (NKJV)

"But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. Make Your face shine upon Your servant; save me for Your mercies’ sake."

Prayer

O Holy God, purify us again with the precious blood of Christ that we may come before You with clean hearts in His perfect righteousness. Let no idols be found in our lives. May You alone be the center of our worship and praise. All glory and honor be unto You, Holy Father, Son and Spirit, One true God, both now and forevermore. Amen.

Worship Through Songs

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-13 THE SON OF GOD 聖子上帝

John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 1:15-17; 2:8-9; John 6:68-69 (NKJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Father, let my life be guided fully by the truth of Your Word. Help me forsake any wrong belief or practice resulting from ignorance and fear. Expose any superstitious belief that I have in my life. Help me hold on to Your truth especially when the false beliefs and consequences seem so real.

  2. Lord, help me put my full trust in You alone. When fear of the unknown grips me and my mind wander to strange conceptions to make sense of my experience, save me and do not let me be deceived. Keep my focus on You and Your Word. Save me from falling away from Your Truth.

  3. Father, I believe that my true hope and healing can only be found in the victory of the Lord Jesus over sin. I praise and thank You for the salvation that I have in Christ, which applies to all aspect of my life both now and unto eternity when all things will be made new. Help me to live in the victory of Christ each day.
