Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Matthew 6:25-26 (NKJV)

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are the Great Provider. All that we have received came from Your loving hands. You are the faithful God. Every promise of Yours, You keep; and every need we have, You meet. Thank You for the special favor and grace You've lavished upon us. We are indeed so blessed to be Your children. We praise and worship Your holy name in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-28 BE NOT ANXIOUS 不必憂慮

Matthew 6:24-30; 32b-33 (NKJV)

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Lord, I am so blessed to be Your child. Your special care and attention is always upon me. You know everything about me. You understand me most. My spoken and unspoken needs are known by You. I'm thankful that You know best and provide accordingly for my good.

  2. Help me to be careful not to see life based on practical terms only. This myopic viewpoint focuses on earthly concerns and solutions. Lord, sharpen my spiritual eyes to see things from Your divine perspective. Guide me by Your Spirit and Your Word at all times. Show me beyond the visible in order for me to see what You are doing in this life.

  3. Lord, forgive me for having a small view of You. I have often minimized Your greatness. Every time I fail to trust in You, I fail to believe that You are almighty and all powerful. You, who spoke and all the world came to be, are the Creator God. You are the greatest. I believe in You. Help me overcome my unbelief.
