Preparing for Worship

Psalm 119:89-93 (NKJV)

Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all are Your servants. Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life.

Prayer

Almighty God, blessed are You and worthy to be praised. We come with thankful hearts to honor Your good Name. Thank You for the guidance that we have received through Your precious Word and Holy Spirit.  Each day is a blessing for us to learn to walk closer with You in this life. Thank You for Your faithful love. May You be exalted in our praises today. We love You in Jesus Christ, Amen.

John 14:16-18, 26; 16:7-14 (NKJV)

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

Worship Through Prayer

1. Father, thank You for the gift of life that I have received thru Jesus, my Savior. Help me to be intentional in living my life for Your glory. Let me uphold Your Word and live by it each day. Thank You for letting me know Your will. Help me to trust and obey You by faith. When my ways falter, keep me in the path of righteousness for Your Name's sake.

2. Lord, You know that I will still sin in this life. You know my battle with sin in this flesh will continue on until I am freed from this corrupt body. Thank You for Your promise to cleanse me from all unrighteousness every time I come to You to confess my sins and repent of my wicked ways. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for You are my perfect righteousness.

3. Father, let the remaining days of my life, regardless of how short or long, be my gift and offering to You. Let the way I live my life be pleasing to You always. May the impact of my surrendered life unto You bless others and cause them to praise Your Name and turn to You unto salvation. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
