Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Acts 1:7-8 (NKJV)

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Prayer

Almighty King of kings and Lord of lords, we bring our gifts and offerings of praise to exalt You on the most high. You alone deserve all honor, glory and adoration. Majesty and splendor can be ascribed to no one else but You. All creatures great and small exist for Your glory and pleasure. Blessed are we to be invited and accepted to be part of Your Kingdom both now and forevermore. Hallelujah to You, O King, forevermore. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-36 THE GREAT COMMISSION 最大使命

Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 24:46-48; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Remind me Lord that there is no one good, not even one, apart from You. All efforts to be good in and through oneself are worthless. You alone are good and the only One who can rescue and transform me to be right before You. I need You, O God, my Savior, my only Source of eternal goodness.

  2. Lord, I am made holy unto You, set apart in Christ to serve You all the days of my life. Consecrate me once again to do Your will. Make me Your faithful servant and witness. Help me to persevere in Christ until my last day on earth, for my allotted time is short yet the Kingdom work is plenty. I want to finish well every work You entrust to me.

  3. Nothing is more important in life than You. Let me live by this truth each day. Help me not to be distracted by this world and be lured away from You. I pray that every moment of my life be a pleasing offering to You, my King and my God. Bless me to do so through Your Holy Spirit.
