Prayer

Almighty Father, You are worthy of all our love, praises and adoration. We bring You not only the sacrifices of praise from our lips but more so we bring ourselves completely as living sacrifices for Your pleasure and glory. Be pleased with the offerings we bring to You in Christ. Glory be to Your holy Name forevermore, Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-55 THE TEN COMMANDMENTS 十條誡

Exodus 20:1-4, 7-8, 12-17; Mark 12:28-31 (NKJV)

And God spoke all these words, saying:

“I am the LORD your God...

“You shall have no other gods before Me.

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image...

“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.”

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

“You shall not murder.

“You shall not commit adultery.

“You shall not steal.

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

“You shall not covet…anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Song of Response

Worship through Prayer

  1. Lord, teach me to love You above all. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that my heart beats purely for You. Let my love for You be evident in my life. May I live as a true lover following You faithfully wherever You lead me.

  2. Lord, each human being bears Your image. Let me love You by striving to love every person in my life not just those whom I favor. Give me eyes to see every person as loved by You that Jesus died for him and her, too.

  3. Lord, let the world and its pleasures pale in comparison to a life blessed by You. You know what I love so much in this life. When a day comes that someone or something I love is taken away from me, may I be able to give thanks and praise Your Name. May it be evident on that day that You alone are my first and only true love. Give me victory in Christ, Amen.
