Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

R-50 CHRISTIAN INFLUENCE 基督徒生活

Matthew 5:13-16; Romans 14:7-8, 16-18; 1 Timothy 4:12; Philippians 2:15 (NKJV)

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Lord, give me eyes to see the beautiful design You have created in each person that I meet. Teach me to honor You by discovering, recognizing, and affirming those gifts and talents You have given to me and to other people. May I celebrate the beauty and wonder of the unique gifts You've entrusted to each person for Your glory. Be glorified.

  2. Lord, thank You for Your loving patience and tender mercies as You continue the holy work You're doing in my life as Your image-bearer. Help me to extend Your grace and patience to others who also need them. May I never give up on anyone until their final breath on this earth. There will always be hope for people to change for good in Christ. Thank You.

  3. Father, help me to stop labeling people negatively. Instead, help me to see with eyes of grace that each person is loved by You. Who am I not to care for someone whom You love? May I continue to be kind to everyone. May I also extend mercy to those who have failed, even repeatedly, in the past. You change sinners and I want to be an eyewitness of Your transforming power. Be magnified. Amen.
