Call to Worship
Have someone read aloud:
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (NKJV)
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Prayer
Almighty God, thank You for You are good. No evil can be found in You. We praise You for both the good and bad in our lives for You continue to redeem and transform all of them for good. Thank You for Your constant power and loving presence in us. We praise and glorify You once again. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Worship through Songs
TEXT: Robert Robinson | MUSIC: John Wyeth’s Repository of Sacred Music
[Verse 1]
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise His name--I’m fixed upon it
Name of God’s redeeming love
[Verse 2]
Hitherto Thy love has blest me
Thou hast bro’t me to this place
And I know Thy hand will bring me
Safely home by Thy good grace
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand’ring from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Bo’t me with His precious blood
[Verse 3]
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

[Verse 1]
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, help me stand
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn
Thro’ the storm, thro’ the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home
[Verse 2]
When my way grows drear
Precious Lord, linger near
When my life is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home
[End]
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home

[Verse 1]
I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me
No great success to show
No glory on my own
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know
[Chorus]
His strength is perfect
When our strength is gone
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect
His strength is perfect
[Verse 2]
We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes
His strength in us begins
When ours comes to an end
He hears our humble cry and proves again
[Chorus]
His strength is perfect
When our strength is gone
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect
His strength is perfect
[End]
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect
His strength is perfect

R-10 THE ALL-KNOWING GOD 全知的上帝
Psalm 139:1-3, 6-12, 17-18, 23-24 (NKJV)
O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
Sermon
Song of Response
TEXT: Joseph M. Scriven | MUSIC: Charles C. Converse
[Verse 1]
What a Friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
[Verse 2]
Have we trials and temptations
Is there trouble anywhere
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer
[Verse 3]
Are we weak and heavy laden
Cumbered with a load of care
Precious Savior, still our Refuge
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee
Take it to the Lord in prayer
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee
Thou wilt find a solace there
Worship through Prayer
Lord God, You are the sovereign One. Nothing happens apart from Your will. Let these truths give me the peace and assurance that all things will be well. Help me to resist any temptations that make me think that You are not good to me. That lie is of the devil. I choose to believe in You. Help me to do so, O Lord.
Remind me each day of Your constant goodness and faithfulness in my life. Help me to give thanks in every circumstance knowing it is Your good will. Give me eyes of faith to see You in every trial.
Lord, help me accept whatever You deny of me. Your "no" is good. I do not want anything that does not come from Your hand. When I feel overwhelmed with grief or even anger because You have denied my petition, let me not turn away from You or against You. Instead, please help me wait patiently and continue to trust in You.
