Have someone read aloud:

Hebrews 11:1-2, 13, 17-19 (NKJV)


Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.


These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 


By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

Prayer

Worthy are You, O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, to receive the utmost worship and submission of all created beings. You alone are God. There is no one beside You. You are the Creator and rightful Owner of all. We bow our hearts and offer everything to You. Be exalted in our lives forevermore.

R-30: FAITH (信心)

Hebrews 11:1-3, 6, 8, 10, 13; 12:1-2 (NKJV)


Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.


By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.


But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.


By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.


...for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.


These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.


Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Worship through Prayer

  1. Father, I have grown to love this world more than I should. Forgive me for loving the world more than You. Help me forsake the world so that I can return to You. Be my first love above all else.

  2. To trust and obey You fully is the ultimate test of life. Long ago Adam and his wife failed which resulted to death. Today, this spiritual test remains inevitable to every human being. Help me live by faith to believe and obey You always. But if I fail, please restore and enable me thru Christ to honor You again.

  3. The testings of my faith had allowed me to experience firsthand Your power and love. However, all kinds of faith test remain dreadful. I know You will never abandon me. Help me not to lose sight of You. Continue to be magnified in my life every time I go through trials and testings by Your mercy and grace.
