Why GCCP is Restarting On-Site Worship Services
Why GCCP is Restarting On-Site Worship Services
GCCP's decision to restart on-site worship services is driven primarily by our desire to minister to the spiritual needs of people who are not currently connected to our virtual ministries and online outreaches. For many, virtual worship is not a viable option for several reasons and their spiritual lives are being affected. The option of an on-site worship service may be able to minister to these individuals. With the option of on-site worship services, rest assured that the virtual worship options for all ages will continue to be available.
This decision by the GCCP leadership was made after seeking the Lord’s leading in prayer, seeking advice from our church’s medical advisory board, looking at trends and metrics, and learning best practices from churches who have already restarted on-site services. The safety of our church members and those in our community is always a primary concern.
GCCP has the blessing of community leaders to restart on-site worship services and will be compliant with IATF and Quezon City guidelines that govern religious gatherings. These guidelines will result in some changes to the church experience and limitations in worship service capacity. A weekly Worship Service Reservation (WSR) Code for contact tracing purposes will be required before you are allowed to enter the church. WSR Codes are available here on our church’s website.
Blessed with a large facility for physical distancing in seating and separate entrance and exit points, GCCP has consulted professionals and taken steps to mitigate risks to ensure a safe environment for on-site worship. We need your cooperation in wearing face masks and shields and frequently washing and sanitizing your hands. For individuals planning to attend on-site worship services, please be flexible and understanding.
Our hope is that on-site worship services will minister to the spiritual needs of individuals unable to receive spiritual nourishment and encouragement through our current virtual ministries. May GCCP continue to make a spiritual impact in our community for Jesus Christ in these unique times!
Oh come, let us sing to the LORD!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the LORD is the great God,
And the great King above all gods.
(Psalm 95:1-3)
In Christ's Love,
Dr. Stephen G. Tan, Senior Pastor
on behalf of the GCCP Church Board
