Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Colossians 1:15-16 (NKJV)

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Almighty God, You are sovereign and glorious. Your thoughts and Your ways are higher than all other else. Perfect and true are You. No one can compare to You. You are the invisible God revealed in Christ Jesus through whom all creation was made and will be redeemed. All honor and thanksgiving be Yours both now and forevermore. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

Psalm 84:1-5, 7-12 (NKJV)

How lovely is Your tabernacle,

O LORD of hosts!

My soul longs, yes, even faints

For the courts of the LORD;

My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home,

And the swallow a nest for herself,

Where she may lay her young—

Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts,

My King and my God.

Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;

They will still be praising You.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,

Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.

They go from strength to strength;

Each one appears before God in Zion.

O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer;

Give ear, O God of Jacob!

O God, behold our shield,

And look upon the face of Your anointed.

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God

Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield;

The Lord will give grace and glory;

No good thing will He withhold

From those who walk uprightly.

O LORD of hosts,

Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Father, thank You for Your faithful love each day. I can see Your blessings in many ways. Thank You for the gracious people in my life who helped me in my time of needs. They have been Your instruments of kindness and love. Remember and bless them, too.

  2. Lord, I take comfort in Your sovereignty. Life gets chaotic. Plans go wrong. People turn against me. I come to the end of myself. Yet, all is well because of You. I trust that all things will eventually become good and right in accordance to Your will. Let me find my peace and rest in You. Redeem my life for Your good.

  3. Thank You for You are almighty and sovereign. My portion and my lot are secure in You. All opportunities come from You. Let me live with quiet confidence in this life even when doors shut tightly on me. You will open where I should enter and redirect me when necessary. I praise You, Lord. I am safe, secure and well in You. Thank You.
