Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Wonderful, merciful Father, You have loved us faithfully with an everlasting love. We praise and worship You. With great mercy and lovingkindness, we are not consumed but forgiven and restored. Praise be to You for You alone are mighty to save. Our strong refuge and tower of salvation both now and forevermore. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

John 15:1-12 (NKJV)

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Song of Response

Lyrics - Have Thine Own Way, Lord

Worship through Prayer

  1. Thank You, Lord God, for the salvation I have in Jesus, my Savior. All my sins have been washed clean thru His blood. I stand before You holy and acceptable all the days of my life by the precious blood of the Lamb that made me righteous forever. Hallelujah.

  2. Lord, save me! The injustices of this world continue to prevail. You are my Refuge and Deliverer. I will put my hope and trust in You. I know You hear my prayers and cries for help. I will wait patiently until You make all things right and judge the wicked in Your appointed time.

  3. Lord, help me to be merciful just as You are merciful. Let me understand that You desire every person to repent unto salvation even those who have done me wrong. They do not deserve Your mercy just as I do not deserve it. Help me understand Your heart and repent of my sins of being unforgiving and merciless toward others. Help me in Jesus' Name. Amen.
