Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

Ephesians 6:12-13 (NKJV)

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Prayer

Lord God Almighty, we sing alleluia to You, our mighty Savior, Protector and Defender. You alone deserve all worship and honor. No evil can prevail. Hence, we, Your children, are safe always and forevermore. Evil may rage mad all around, but Your goodness and righteousness will surely prevail over all the earth. Glory to You. We shout alleluia jubilantly to You and You alone.

R-4 GOD’S MERCY 上帝的憐憫

Psalm 136:1-12, 23-26 (NKJV)

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!

For His mercy endures forever.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!

For His mercy endures forever:

To Him who alone does great wonders,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who made great lights,

For His mercy endures forever—

The sun to rule by day,

For His mercy endures forever;

The moon and stars to rule by night,

For His mercy endures forever.

To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,

For His mercy endures forever;

And brought out Israel from among them,

For His mercy endures forever;

With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,

For His mercy endures forever;

Who remembered us in our lowly state,

For His mercy endures forever;

And rescued us from our enemies,

For His mercy endures forever;

Who gives food to all flesh,

For His mercy endures forever.

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!

For His mercy endures forever.

Worship through Prayer

  1. Lord, please protect my heart and mind from deceitful thoughts that often lead to wrong perceptions and presumptions about people and circumstances in my life. Let me choose to uphold Your love, truth and peace at all times.

  2. Bless me to be a godly peacemaker that people may know that I am Your child. Fill me with holy constraint and loving patience toward those that make me mad. Let me not quarrel or fight with people if by doing so I bring shame to Your Name.

  3. Give me wisdom and love for my enemies in order to reach out to them. Help me endeavor to communicate humbly with the goal of true reconciliation in mind. Help me to listen carefully and desire to understand the other side of the story. Lord, You know all things. Give me peace and patience to wait on You to make things right. Keep me holy in Jesus' Name, Amen.
