Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

1 John 3:2-3 (NKJV)

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for redeeming us from death to eternal life through Christ. We rejoice greatly for Your unending goodness and mercy toward us in Him. We are forever grateful for Your great love and for Your gift of life that has been full and abundant. All honor, glory and praises be Yours forevermore. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

Psalm 24:1-5, 7-10; John 4:23-24 (NKJV)

The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,

The world and those who dwell therein.

For He has founded it upon the seas,

And established it upon the waters.

Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?

Or who may stand in His holy place?

He who has clean hands and a pure heart,

Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,

Nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive blessing from the LORD,

And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Lift up your heads, O you gates!

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

And the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The LORD strong and mighty,

The LORD mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O you gates!

Lift up, you everlasting doors!

And the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts,

He is the King of glory. Selah

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Song of Response

Worship Through Prayer

  1. Lord, may I, with this one life on earth, bring glory to You. May Christ live in and through me that, in my obedience, I may offer my life as a pleasing sacrifice to You. Help me to not live for myself, but in everything I say and do, may I endeavor to honor You. Help me to be able to do so.

  2. Father, it is so hard to die to myself. I want to live my life for You, but I find myself living the way I want. Forgive me, Lord. Help me to remove from my life anything that hinders me from following You. I want to commit to living my life for You. I humble myself and give my life wholly to You.

  3. Lord, let me live responsibly as a Christian. I bear Your Name. May others see and experience You in me and give thanks to God. May my life proclaim clearly the gospel of love and truth in Jesus Christ that brings salvation to all people. Here I am, Lord. Please use me as an instrument for Your divine purpose.
