Call to Worship

Have someone read aloud:

1 Chronicles 28:9 (NKJV)

"As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Lord God Almighty, the Beginning and the End, You know all things. Everything is working together for good to fulfill Your ultimate purpose. Praise be to You, our promise-keeping God. You are bringing about justice and righteousness. You will make all things new and the curse of sin and death will be no more. We rejoice even today while we wait on You. You are our God and to You alone we give our loyal love. In Christ Jesus, Amen.

Scripture Reading

Read aloud (together if applicable).

John 14:16-18, 26; 16:7-14 (NKJV)

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

Song of Response

Lyrics - Wonderful Grace of Jesus

Worship through Prayer

  1. Each person has to make his own decision on what to do with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. I know my own faith cannot save my loved ones. So, I pray for Your mercy and grace upon them that they too may believe by faith that Jesus alone can save them from the wrath of God and give them everlasting life.

  2. Many Christians have taken for granted the fullness of their salvation in Christ. They have accepted the gift of eternal life only to escape eternal damnation. Lord, help us realize the great blessing we have in Christ both for this life now and for eternity.

  3. Lord, help me learn to trust You more and live my life according to Your Word. Help me experience the joy of living for You in this world. Let me delight in living a blessed life with You each day and in every season of life. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
